NVIDIA GeForce RTX: Game On, Updates & Well Wishes

Hi everyone!

We hope you had a safe and awesome holiday and a Happy New Year!

Everyone here at Steel Wool sends a special thanks to the FNAF community for all of your patience and positive attitudes as we continue working on Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach! 2020 was a crazy year and 2021 seems to want to keep that trend going. Through it all, the team is working hard on the next chapter of the FNAF gaming franchise and we are excited to show the fans more and more as we march towards release.

Although we’ve been relatively quiet since our debut teaser last September (despite your many questions - yes we do keep tabs on those), we are thrilled to have just unveiled the latest glimpse of the PC version of the game at the NVIDIA GeForce RTX: Game On Event at CES 2021 including footage featuring real time ray-tracing on PC. This was made possible thanks to NVIDIA and GeForce RTX! The footage showcases some locations we haven’t shared before. It is captured real-time running on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU.

Steel Wool Studios has had a great relationship with NVIDIA through the years and they have been an incredibly supportive partner. We have been working hard with their team to help implement some of their cutting edge PC technologies. In the video, you will see features such as RTX ray-traced reflections, shadows, ambient occlusion, real-time global illumination and NVIDIA’s DLSS technology. All of this allows these visual additions to perform at incredibly high frame rates on the RTX lineup of NVIDIA cards on the PC version!

We are incredibly grateful to NVIDIA for this opportunity! The entire Steel Wool team has been working tirelessly to make the world of FNAF bigger, prettier, and spookier - one perfectly rendered reflection at a time.

As always, a huge thank you to Scott Cawthon, the incredible creator of the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe. We are eternally grateful for Scott allowing us to play in his sandbox! Where he goes, we happily follow.

Love,

The Steel Wool Team
